The sign up page for the 2009 WAC Telemark and Randonee series is now open.

The Washington Alpine Club Telemark ski class offers Telemark and Randonee ski instruction at all levels to WAC members.  The six week series is  held Wednesday nights at Summit West at Snoqualmie Pass.

The lesion series is designed to develop your skiing skill so you can ski with more confidence and enjoyment.   Each lesson in the series builds on what was learned in the previous session.  The instructor's observations and feedback on your movements will help you take your skiing to a new level.   Classes are organized by ability level – Often classmates develop into good ski buddies.

Class dates: Wednesdays, January 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th and February 4th and 11^th

Costs:

$130 for the lessons

$37 (tax included) for each night skiing ticket ($222 total for six)

or

Purchase a discounted season’s pass through the program

$226.97 night only season’s pass

$ 324.71 L-T-D season’s pass (excludes Alpental on weekends)

$ 389.87 Unlimited season’s pass

Season’s pass must be purchased through the program by December 15^th for the discount.

All prices include tax.

Gear:  For telemark skiers plastic telemark boots and modern shaped skis are highly recommended.   For Randonee skiers, either modern randonee gear or standard alpine equipment will work fine -- The classes focus on downhill skiing skill development.  

Rentals are available from several local shops.   Alpine gear may be rented from the Summit. 

This program is available to Washington Alpine Club members – you must be a member in good standing to attend each class.

Cancellation Policy

In order to receive a refund for the Telemark / Randonee Class, the cancellation must be made one week prior to the first class. There are no refunds or make up sessions for no-shows or drop-outs.   If conditions result in the closure of the ski area during scheduled class time.  We will make every effort attempt to reschedule the entire class as conditions allow. 

Important note: If you purchased a discounted seasons pass through the program and then cancel the Summit will void your season’s pass with no refund.

Admittance: You must be a member of the WAC to take this class, but you can sign up for membership at the same time you apply for the class. Please note that WAC membership is not refundable; you will not be charged the class fee if you cancel one week prior to the first class. However we cannot offer refunds on your WAC membership dues. Any applicants turned away from previous classes or who have volunteered as instructors in other WAC courses are given preference.
