All | Backcountry Travel | Basic Climbing | Intermediate Climbing | Telemark Skiing | Wilderness First AidThe Washington Alpine Club's Basic Climbing Class offers a basic but comprehensive introduction to the technical mountaineering skills required to travel safely over snowfields, glaciers, and high-angle rock. The class size is small to preserve a high instructor to student ratio. Students in the course are exposed to the full range of climbing skills, first in a classroom setting, and then in the mountains.
The 2012 class will run from March 20rd through June 17th. Applications for the 2012 class will open December 15th, and close January 31st.
