No to many opportunity for hike here in NW if you waiting for nice weather...so as usaly every weekend I made plan for this weekend ,hike to Rampart lks .Raining gear was very important and extra clothing as well. We hit the road at 8am.After I-90 exit to Ketches lk. we were on mount road for 4 miles. No cars on parking lot..no hikers on the trail. We hike up to Rachel lk. for two and to Rampart lk.for one more. On Rampart lks, my friend was little concern that we can get lost easily...yes I agree. Visibility poor and trail looks all same around lakes. I had my GPS on and I showed him on GPS where we are. So we kept going on around lakes.
I was here twice before I told him this is Paradise in better weather...He said we must back sometimes latter, Of curse, to many places I or we need back again and again.
On way down was not any problem...Like I said in "Trail Condition" we did not expect highway...The trail is on some place using creek bed, so because rain creek was flooded and we was forced to go around and walk on grass or mud,
