Organizer selects an outing time and place. Organizer's experience and skills are commensurate with the type of trip proposed. MOFA or other first aid training is highly encouraged for all WACKO organizers.
Organizer sends out announcements on wacinfo and in the bulletin as far in advance as possible. Announcement describes outing's strenuousness, special gear required, permitting issues, etc. Organizer is available for questions over the phone, email and cloak-and-dagger meetings in a booth in the bar in the back in the corner in the dark. Carpooling to be encouraged. Park and Ride lots are very handy gathering places. Organizer remembers to preach the gospel of the ten essentials, the sin of cotton, and the sancity of being thrifty, cheerful, brave and reverent.
