	Announcements Goto: Calendar | Add an announcement | Add a date | Bulletin Announcements can be official or simply things that members wish to share. Announcements can (but are not required to) have one or more dates attached to them. For example, a "For Sale" item would have no dates attached, while "Telemark Class" would list all of the dates for the class. To add an item, first fill out the the Announcement form. You will then be able to attach dates to the announcement. The WAC Fun Day will is back again this year on the WAC trails. Events: Sunday Feb 24, 2013 10am Ski race--winner will have their name immortalized on the historic WAC Fun Day plaque (in the hallway) 11am Ski/snowshow treasure hunt Hot chocolate, cookies and fire at the start/finish 1pm Awards ceremony and raffle in the WAC Dining Hall Details Ski race: Get those metal-edged backcountry skis waxed and practice your technique.  Race will start by ascending up the rope-tow hill, turning right onto the blue Cliff trail and over to Guye View road, then back on Guye View Road, past the start and onto Beaver Trail and up and around the Big Rock Loop.  The race concludes with a thrilling finish down the rope tow hill.  About 3km max and probably closer to 2km. Kids and youth/adult treasure hunt This will be non-race event where the kids (and kids at heart) will have a treasure map.  They will find stations on the trail system where they can get their fun day card stamped.  Completed cards can be turned in for a prize at the awards ceremony.  There will be little kid and youth/adult versions of the map and cards. Can you help? We will need day of volunteers to help direct skiers, bring out the hot chocolate, start the fire and decorate.  Saturday volunteers will help mark the race course and pack down the trail.  Contact Eli to volunteer e2holmes@gmail.com Date(s)
