Intermediate Climbing Class The Intermediate Climbing Class of the Washington Alpine Club offers lead rock and ice climbing experience that builds on the mountaineering skills taught in the Basic Class. This course focuses on teaching the skills necessary to become competent climbing partners in technical rock, ice, and alpine environments and develop familiarity with leading in these environments. The class format follows that of the Basic Climbing Class. i.e. classroom sessions followed by field trips. Class size remains small to preserve a one to one, instructor to student ratio. ApplyingThe application period for the 2010 Intermediate Climbing Class has closed. We will make our decisions by July 20th and will notify applicants of their status at that time. Thanks for your interest in the class! We will accept applications for the 2011 class in early summer of 2011. In the meantime please explore the website to find other ways to get involved with the Washington Alpine Club. Happy climbing! More Info Please visit the 2010 Intermediate Class Website for more information. Email the cochairs Andrew and Doug at chairs@wacintclass.org if you have any questions. |
