All | Backcountry Travel | Basic Climbing | Intermediate Climbing | Telemark Skiing | Wilderness First AidThe Washington Alpine Club's Basic Climbing Class offers a basic but comprehensive introduction to the technical mountaineering skills required to travel safely over snowfields, glaciers, and high-angle rock. The class size is small to preserve a high instructor to student ratio. Students in the course are exposed to the full range of climbing skills, first in a classroom setting, and then in the mountains.
The 2009 Basic Climbing Class application period is now closed.

Applications for the 2010 class will be accepted beginning in December of 2009.
