Backcountry Travel Class Application

STOP! BEFORE BEGINNING THIS APPLICATION YOU SHOULD:

  • Have read all of the information on the backcountry travel class, and made sure you can make all the classes listed on the schedule. For a view of the schedule click here.
  • Understand that you will have to fill out and sign a liability waiver in order to be accepted into the class. The waiver will be distributed at the beginning of the course.
  • You will not be able to save and then edit your application. Please scan the questions below and be prepared to discuss your chosen mode of travel, your skiing ability, your previous avalanche course and backcountry ski trip experience, and have your emergency contact phone number ready.

Instructions on where to send the application and your check for the $120 course fee will be provided after you enter your information. All applications must be mailed via the US postal service regular delivery and be postmarked by January 31st, 2010. (No Fed-Ex or special delivery or hand delivery.)
