STOP! Before beginning this process you should:

• Read all of the information on the backcountry travel class, and made sure you can attend all of the classes listed on the schedule. To view the schedule click here.

• BACKCOUNTRY TRAVEL IS DANGEROUS. Understand that you will have to fill out and sign a liability waiver in order to participate in the class. The waiver will be distributed at the beginning of the course. YOU SHOULD ALSO OBTAIN HEALTH INSURANCE TO COVER EXPENSES INCURRED BY ANY INJURIES.

• Be aware that there will be no refunds if you drop out of the class after the first class. No exceptions.

We'll let applicants know by January 10, 2012 whether or not they will be included in the 2012 class.

Should there be vacancies before class begins, they will be filled by the waitlist.
